Matt Liu (Partner) and Ariel Liu (Associate) successfully represented Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (“MFTBC”) in obtaining an unconditional clearance decision from the Taiwan Fair Trade Commission, which resolved not to prohibit MFTBC’s business combination with Hino Motors, Ltd. (“HINO”), Daimler Truck AG, Toyota Motor Corporation, and AIB, Ltd.  Through this combination, MFTBC and HINO will integrate their resources to enhance efficiency in development, procurement, and production, and accelerate the development of hydrogen and other CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Sharing and Electric) technologies. This business combination aims to address the challenges of carbon neutrality and to establish a globally leading Japanese commercial vehicle manufacturer.
