Ms. Jennifer Lin is the managing partner of Tsar & Tsai Law Firm and has been practicing law since 1980. Jennifer specializes in dispute resolution, intellectual property law, antitrust law, corporate law, foreign investment and mergers & acquisitions and has over 30 years of experience representing multi-national companies in complex domestic and international transactions and business disputes.
Jennifer’s most notable work includes representing the Board of Foreign Trade in the negotiation on IP issues with the US government, representing the Department of Health in obtaining compulsory license for Tamiflu to combat the Avian Influenza crisis and representing Taiwan CD-R industry and various multi-national high tech companies on cases involving patent dispute and related patent misuse and antitrust law issues.
Jennifer is a frequent speaker on intellectual property law and is recognized by the Asia Law and Practice a the leading lawyer in Taiwan for intellectual property and dispute resolution in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011, and recognized as leading lawyer in the intellectual property field by Chambers Asia in 2010.
Jennifer is the President of the Asia Patent Attorneys Association (APAA), Taiwan Group (2006-2012). In addition, Jennifer serves as the managing director of National Taiwan University Law Foundation, a commissioner of the Patent Examination Quality Commission of the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office, and a commissioner of the IP commission of the Chinese National Federation of Industries and an advisor of Taiwan Intellectual Property Academy.
