Ms. Katie Wu is a senior associate with Tsar & Tsai Law Firm and has practiced law since 2001. Katie specializes in company law, securities and banking regulations, and dispute resolution, including civil litigations, criminal litigations, administrative litigations and arbitration.
Katie’s litigation experience includes representing multiple international and local clients in controlling power disputes, derivatives transaction dispute, tax disputes, labor dispute and copyright infringement. Katie has also represented directors of publicly traded companies in criminal litigations involving securities fraud, embezzlement, and allegations of breach of trust and fiduciary duty.
Being an expert on securities and banking regulations, Katie was involved in an M&A project whereby a multi-national bank acquired a distressed Taiwan bank.
Katie has also participated in several research projects funded by non-profit securities business association and foundations with the goal to improve the regulatory scheme governing the securities exchange market.
Prior to joining Tsar & Tsai, Katie is a staff attorney with the Securities and Futures Investors Protection Center, a government funded organ to protect securities and futures investors’ rights against improper trading practices and poor corporate governances of publicly traded companies.
