Abraham Cheng commenced to practice law in 1999, and joined Tsar & Tsai Law Firm as an associate partner in June 2011. Before joining Tsar & Tsai Law Firm, he served as a senior associate at Lee & Li, Attorneys-at-law, and as a junior partner at Lexcel Partners and Chien Yeh Law Offices respectively.

At the beginning of his practice, Abraham dealt with civil, commercial and tax litigations as well as administrative petitions and litigations. After joining Lee & Li, Attorneys-at-law, he commenced to practice law in fields of non-litigious cases, including but not limited to the general corporate, mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment, offshore and domestic funds, insurance and capital market. As to the general corporate and business related affairs, in addition to the company incorporation, contract review, employment relationship etc., he is familiar with the businesses of offshore and domestic funds and insurances. Also, he handled and/or participated in several projects of foreign investment, joint venture, merger, share acquisition, general asset and business acquisition and spin-off of foreign and domestic companies/enterprises in past years. As to the capital market, he is also experienced in the GDR, IPO, syndicated loan, and private-placement of securities. In addition to the above non-litigious commercial cases, he continuously provide services of dispute resolution and litigation for clients’ business activities and related disputes.
